Barbier Abstract Expressionist Acrylic Painting on Canvas
Item Details
An abstract expressionist painting on canvas signed ‘Barbier’. The piece depicts textured yellow crosshatch lines against a purple background, surrounded by a bright yellow border. The work is signed in yellow paint to the lower right with a signature that appears to read ‘Barbier ’14’; however, no clear artist attribution could be made. It is presented without glass in a cream wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- faint black marks along left side; small holes to textured paint; wear to edges of canvas with small areas of paint loss; surface wear to frame; no backing paper present.
