Vintage Shawnee Patented "Chanticleer" Rooster Pottery
Item Details
A set of Shawnee pottery vintage tableware called Chanticleer after the rooster. The set is composed of a jug and salt and pepper shakers. Shawnee Pottery was in operation from 1937-1961 and was founded in Zanesville, Ohio, in close proximity to the Hull, Roseville , and Rhino potteries. The chickens have molded details and accents in red, yellow and green. Impressed marks on the underside reading ‘Patented Chanticleer U.S.A’.
