A vintage Simpli-Trol Portable Model Cambridge Electrocardiograph. This piece of medical equipment was manufactured by the Cambridge Scientific Instrument Company from 1930 to 1950. It features a solid wood case with latches to front. Case opens to reveal the mechanisms used to record the electrical activity of the human heart. The brass plate to front reads ‘Simpli-Trol Portable Model Cambridge Electrocardiograph No. 0-199219 Made for Ben Arnoff, M.D. by the Cambridge Instrument Co. Inc.’.
