Antique Georgian Sterling Silver Vinaigrettes and Snuff Box
Item Details
A pair of antique Georgian sterling silver vinaigrettes and a snuff box. The rectangular vinaigrette has an ornately pierced hinged cover in gold wash to allow for smelling salts and scrolled engraving. Birmingham, England hallmarks indicate the sterling box was made by Thomas Shaw, 1827. The second sterling silver vinaigrette is in the form of a shell with an hinged inner pierced cover in gold wash, hallmarked London with a maker mark that is indiscernible. Thirdly, the sterling silver snuff box bears a Birmingham, England hallmark, King George IV duty mark and was made by Joseph Wilmore in 1827.
