A large hand-knotted antique Persian area rug features a floral pattern with palmettes. It has a large squared floral medallion in indigo, salmon, pinks chartreuse and scarlet. Surrounding the medallion is a dense pattern of floral racemes, vine work and tree of life forms. It has a wide compound border with large lobed, open flower heads and a herati primary band, all in the field colors with filler palmettes. It has overcast edges and dense, cropped cotton fringe. Unlabeled.
