Item Details
An oil painting on canvas of a bamboo forest. This Impressionist painting depicts a clustering of bamboo stalks overtaken by leaves, overlooking a reflective body of water below. Throughout the composition are truncated, gestural brush strokes in a raised impasto. To the lower right corner of the composition is an illegible artist signature. The painting is presented in a stained wooden frame featuring a cream and gold tone border with gouged motifs. Found to the verso is affixed hanging wire.

- four inch scratch at the lower right corner; multiple abrasions to the frame; vertical bulge to canvas at center verso.
