An antique Russian Moishe Chaim Leibovich Gold 875 silver serving spoon. This fiddle thread serving spoon is circa 1882-1899. Moishe was born in Vilnius in 1886 and was the son of the goldsmith Leiba Scmuelovich Gold, from who he apprenticed with until he received his master’s certificate in 1892. In 1896 he opened his own shop and hired apprentices of his own. Spoon is stamped to the back. Total approximate weight is 2.730 ozt.
