A large hand-knotted Persian Tabriz wool area rug. The rug has a large central floral medallion surrounded by a dense pattern of scrolling vines, florals, and birds in a bright palette of azure, tan, khaki, pale pink, green, and navy on a garnet colored field. The rug’s contrasting compound border has a repeating floral and vine design in a complementary palette on a bright navy field. Tagged to reverse, made in Azerbaijan.
