Meketi Offset Lithograph "End of the Trail"
Item Details
An offset lithograph on paper titled End of the Trail by Meketi. Inspired by James Earle Fraser sculpture with the same title, this print depicts a Native American on horseback at the end of this journey during the Trail of Tears. The figure and his horse are slumped over while the sun sets in the background. The print is signed in plate to the lower right and presented under glass in a gold tone wood frame. A wire for hanging purposes is present to the verso.
Condition
- small stains to the lower left; there’s a paint flake below the horses head; light abrasion to the frame overall.
