A hand-knotted Persian wool area rug. This wool rug features meandering floral sprays throughout the field in a palette of deep red, midnight blue, olive taupe, and steel grey on a cream background. The primary border offers Shah Abbasi palmettes with a floral pattern. The rug is finished with overcast selvedge edges, a narrow kilim skirt at each end and a knotted cotton warp fringe at either end. Unlabeled.
