A mixed media assemblage piece by Nebraska-based artist Jo Nelson. This piece begins with a composition of layered fabrics in shades of cool grays and black, with different patterns and levels of wear to each. These sections are outlined by strips of reed and layered further with collected East Asian style objects such as a circular folding fan, statuette of a woman holding water jugs, a small lute, and more. The composition is signed to the lower left corner on a portion of reed. It is presented in a gold tone metal frame and protected beneath an acrylic protective box.

Condition

- frayed and wrinkled backing; resin case is marked and scratched lightly throughout.
