A limited edition bronze sculpture by Erté (Russian, 1892-1990), titled The Globe. Roman De Tirtoff, known by the pseudonym Erte, is a Russian-born French designer who flourished in many fields including set design, fashion, and the graphic arts, spanning most of the 20th century. The piece depicts a beautiful women with a red dress holding a globe. The piece is signed around the top of plinth base and marked to the bottom ‘59/350 Fine Art Acquisitions © 1984.’ The sculpture is accompanied with a Erte Sculpture art book.
