A limited edition serigraph and etching on parchment titled The Crucible of the Philosopher from the series Alchimie des Philosophes by listed artist Salvador Dali (1904 – 1989). The Surrealist work is dominated by a vibrant red and yellow structure. Various figures and animals are depicted within and below the structure include a horse and ride, a unicorn and angels. The piece is number 196 in an edition of 225. It is signed by hand to the lower right, presented unframed. The work was included in the Catalogue Raisonné, The Official Catalog of the Graphic Works of Salvador Dali by Albert Field, catalogue field 75-12 H on page 105.

Condition

- warping of the paper; beads that were glued to the print have fallen off; crease at the top.
