A limited edition serigraph and etching on parchment titled L’Ouraboros from the series Alchimie des Philosophes by listed artist Salvador Dali (1904 – 1989). The Surrealist work depicts a butchered fish laid in a circle, biting its own tail. The fish borders a circle encompassing various fragmented illustrations. The piece is number 196 in an edition of 225. It is signed by hand to the lower right, presented unframed. The work was included in the Catalogue Raisonné, The Official Catalog of the Graphic Works of Salvador Dali by Albert Field, catalogue field 75-12 F on page 105.
Condition
- minor marks on the lower left and right corners where tape once was; missing a couple gems that were glues to the surface; minor warping of the paper.
