Late Federal Period Chest of Drawers

Item Details

A late Federal Period cherry chest of drawers with reeded styles and beaded drawer fronts. The case holds two small side-by side drawers, over a blanket or bonnet drawer, with three graduated drawers below, standing on a scrolled base. The drawers have hand-cut dovetails and turned wood knobs.

Condition

to Fair – with scratching, stains and wear to finish. The legs have been cut off and replaced with metal casters. Some splitting to wood at side back.
