A Chinese hanging scroll watercolor painting on silk of a landscape. This painting depicts a cluster of rolling hills that are seemingly suspended in fog, featuring a traditional house to the foreground tucked beneath trees with a winding dirt road supporting figures to the left portion of the composition. To the top left corner is a vertical arrangement of what appears to be Mandarin characters, which possibly denotes the artist. The painting is presented on silk, which wraps around a rod featuring ceramic handles glazed with blue patterned detail. It is strung to the top edge for hanging, and is presented rolled in its original cardboard box.
