A giclee print titled View of Toledo after El Greco (1541 – April 7th, 1614).
This landscape print depicts the city of Toledo, Spain where the artist lived and worked. It shows a turbulent sky over rolling green, tree-lined hills with buildings stacked into the countryside.
The piece is signed in plate to the lower right corner. It is presented in a wooden frame with a metal wire wall mount.
El Greco’s full name is Domenikos Theotokopoulos, often referred to as The Greek by his Spanish patrons in Toledo. He was born in Crete and studied the works of Michelangelo in _Venice, Italy.
