Persian Gouache Painting of a Garden Themed Wedding
Item Details
A gouache painting on paper by an unknown artist. This work depicts a couple standing behind a wedding cake on a table, joined by figures celebrating in a garden with a mosaic tile path the leads to a fountain surrounded by colorful flowers. The piece is outlined to the left margin, upper left margin, and lower right margin with Persian Farsi text and possibly signed by the artist to a small tan box at the lower left of the image. It is presented under glass in a wooden frame with a wire to the verso ready to hang.
Condition
- wear to finish of frame; some staining to one corner of backing paper on verso.
