A 1940 etching on paper by listed New Mexico artist William Howard Shuster (1893 – 1969). The piece depicts a snow-covered evening woodland landscape, with bare trees lining a quiet stream, in a palette of black against cream. The work is signed and dated in plate to the lower right. It is matted in off-white and presented under glass in a silver tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso. Condition
- toning and foxing to print and mat with age, especially to edges; slight wear to frame finish; frame glass would benefit from cleaning; small tears to frame’s backing paper.
