Huichol Inspired Mexican Beaded Mask

Item Details

A beaded Mexican mask, similar in style to those made by the Huichol people of the Sierra Madre. The wooden mask includes rectangular holes for the the eyes and mouth. It is decorated with geometric and animal patterns using glass beads in vibrant red, yellow, blue, green, white, black and orange hues. The unsigned piece includes two thumb tacks to the verso that hold a small hanging string.
