A collection of fourteen antique and vintage books. Books include fiction and non-fiction, a government study, and text books. Books range in date from 1810 to 1945. Featured are two leather bound volumes titled, Indian Biography by B.B. Thatcher, published in 1832 by J. & J. Harper, New York and 1852 Fifth Annual Report of the Regents of the University, on the Condition of the State Cabinet of Natural History, and the Historical and Antiquarian Collection Annexed Thereto . This volume includes an appendix titled, Report on the Fabrics, Inventions, Implements and Utensils of the Iroquois with twenty-two illustrations, eighteen of which are hand colored. Also included is leather bound 1810 The Genuine Works of Flavius Josephus, Volume VI (New York), and 1812 The Works of Thomas Otway, Volume II (London). Other books include Curiosities and Remarkable Customs in Pagan and Mohammedan Countries written and published by Caleb Wright (Troy, New York, 1848), 1884 Modern Billiards edited by H. W. Collender, The Occult World by A. P. Sinnett (1889, Houghton, MIfflin and Company, Boston), House of Representatives Reports of Explorations and Surveys, To Ascertain the Most Practicable and Economical Route for a Railroad from the Mississippi River to the Pacific Ocean , Volume IX (1858, Washington, A.O.P. Nicholson). Twentieth century titles include Brot by Karl Heinrich Waggert (1930, in German), Cupid in Hell by Clara Eleanor Wagner (Nitschke Brothers, Columbus Ohio, 1910), Odds and Ends by Wealtha Vieth Abernethy (1945), and Fighting the Traffic in Young Girls or War on the White Slave Trade by Ernest A. Bell (1910-11). Completing the lot is an 1893-1895 leather bound A Deebs & Sons handwritten ledger and three vintage playbills.
