A copper Venus figurine by listed sculptors Rory Mahon and Ayami Aoyama, cast on June 22, 2002. The piece is of an early female statuette, originally dated to the Upper Paleolithic period. The term ‘Venus’ refers to the representation of a female figure and is not connected with the Roman goddess of the same name. To the verso, the piece is inscribed with the date and ‘Rory & Ayami’. Mahon is well-known for his cast metal sculpting while Aoyama is known for her large stone carved works.

- slight dark patina to the copper; scratches to the verso.
