Indo-Persian Tabriz Style Wool Area Rug
Item Details
An Indo-Persian Tabriz style wool area rug. The rug features an all-over floral motif with animal depictions on an ivory ground in accent colors of lavender, green, rose, coral blue, orange and yellow. The center field is framed by a Herati style guard border with large palmettes and scrolled lancet leaf forms. The rug is finished with overcast selvage edges and hand-knotted fringe to opposite ends. Unmarked.
Condition
to Fair – some soiling and discoloration, with staining to fringe. Would benefit from cleaning.
