Indo-Persian Gouache Painting on Silk
Item Details
An Indo-Persian gouache painting on silk. This detailed piece depicts a group of men gathered under a balcony, on which a man wearing green and a strand of pearls stands, along with two attendants. A peacock stands on a raised walkway off to one side. This colorful piece has a border studded with simple depictions of grass and flowers, and is presented behind glass and a tan and red double mat in a carved gold tone frame with a wire for hanging. The work is unsigned.
