A 14K yellow gold helmet shell cameo convertible pendant or brooch. This design features an intricately carved oval helmet shell cameo, with a Neoclassical depiction of a woman in profile. She has spiraling curls, and wears a headband adorned with a cluster of flowers. The cameo is housed in a brightly polished gold frame, which is fitted with a hinged, hidden bail for use as a pendant, as well as with a c-clasp for use as a brooch. The shell is signed on verso with a hand-carved, illegible signature.
