An antique fraternal sword and scabbard. This sword features an M1860 style pommel, embellished-wire wrapped grip, enameled handle with a gold tone finial, finely cast ‘medical staff’ style crossguard with gilt eagle pattern. The blade bears a ’Knight’s Head’ (likely Kirschbaum) maker’s marking to the ricasso. The sword is accompanied by a velvet-covered scabbard featuring ornate cast fittings and gilding.
