The painting with a water buffalo features two figures making their way across a rocky landscape with the animal. It is rendered in calligraphic ink lines and vibrant color, with an inscription and red seals to the upper left. The painting of plum blossoms presents a mature, elegant branch twisting across the composition, full of bright red blossoms rendered in expressive, painterly marks. There is an inscription in calligraphy to the upper left of the print, with a red seal. Both paintings are presented unframed, bordered by a blue silk brocade. Tubes for shipping and storage are included.

- light staining from right edge to center of painting with water buffalo; wear to edge of silk border to top left.
