Vintage Towle "Virginia Lee" Sterling Silver Flatware

A set of vintage sterling silver Virginia Lee flatware by Towle. This pattern was originally designed by Harold E. Nock in 1920. Included is one ladle, one pierced serving utensil, one jelly spoon, one pair of small tongs, one serving fork, six iced tea spoons, five flat handle butter spreaders, six shrimp forks, five soup spoons, eight teaspoons, four serving spoons, six dinner forks, six salad forks, and one small serving spoon. Also included is one cake/pie server, eight knives and one carving set comprised of a fork and knife, all with hollow sterling handles. They are all marked to the versos as ‘sterling’ along with the maker’s marks. The total approximate weight, excluding items with hollow sterling handles, is 61.480 ozt. A total of sixty-three pieces are included. Pieces are presented in a wood storage case.
