Item Details
A variety of vintage luggage. There are four different vintage suitcases, by various makers, in different materials. A vintage, custom black wood and leather suitcase is stamped with the initials ‘BLB’, featuring a heavily textured cowhide surface with a smooth leather-wrapped handle and silver tone clasps. The side of the suitcase retains a colorful vintage travel sticker marked ‘Fuji-View Hotel – Lake Kawaguchi – Best of Five Lakes Round the Base of Mt. Fuji’. The interior of the suit case is labeled ‘Manufacturers Guarantee – This Article is Covered With Top Grain Cowhide – Licensee No. 7’. The interior is lined with gray fabric and there are several pockets around the sides, containing a hand mirror, a shoe horn, and other small travel items. The case also comes with its original protective zip-on blue canvas cover with brown leather trim, which is labeled ‘Protecto Quality Zipper Covers – Water Reopellent – Short-Bound – 18 Overnight’. An unmarked suitcase is made of wood with a woven herringbone pattern material on the surface and a plaid paper lining inside, with a plastic handle and silver tone metal latches. A Samsonite case labeled ‘Samsonite Silhouette 4’, has wheels on the bottom, and is made of dark blue molded plastic, with a molded plastic handle and black latches. The inside is lined in gray brocade material, with a divider and clips. A black hard-sided Samsonite briefcase has a black molded plastic handle and is labeled ‘Samsonite dispatch ©1988 Samsonite Corporation – Made in U.S.A.’ The inside has divided compartments. It appears to be in new, unused condition and comes with the original instructions and the key for the lock. A bluer Also included is an ‘Airway’ brown faux leather briefcase with a handle on the top and brass tone zippered and open compartments.
