A vintage vanity table with mirror by Helmers . The vanity is made of dark stained wood, featuring a rectangular top with a framed mirror attached at the back. The framed mirror glass is held in a frame with pierced scroll cut details at the top, and is attached to a bracket that allows the tilt of the mirror to be adjusted. The vanity has a center knee hole opening, with two dovetailed drawers to either side, and it rests on straight, round turned legs with casters. The top drawers have round metal knobs with floral motifs, and the bottom drawers have ornate, swag-like metal handles. The inside of one drawer is stamped ‘Helmers – Makers of Furniture – Kansas City, Mo. & Leavenworth, Kan.’ There are also labels affixed to the backs of both the vanity table and mirror, both marked ‘From The Helmers Mfg. Co. – Wholesale Furniture – Kansas City, Mo. U.S.A.’ Please note, the mirror frame can be detached from the vanity table for easier transport. This item is located in a basement.
