An original acrylic painting attributed to Gay Badenoch (1920 – 2003). The painting depicts an abstract lakeview in a palette of green, blue, brown, and black. Badenoch was born in 1920 in Boston Massachusetts and also lived in New York, San Francisco and Michigan, with the highlight of her career being a three week painting trip to China in 1983 set up by renowned artist, Richard Yip. Badenoch painted mostly in oils, acrylics, watercolors, and pastels and her style was mostly impressionistic and abstract. The work is surrounded in a green metal frame without glass and picture wire is attached to the reverse for hanging.
