A Gay Badenoch (1920 – 2003) original oil painting titled Garden Girl. The painting features an impressionistic piece in a natural palette depicting a young girl in gardening clothes. Badenoch was born in 1920 in Boston Massachusetts and also lived in New York, San Francisco, and Michigan with the highlight of her career being a three week painting trip to China in 1983 set up by renowned artist Richard Yip. Badenoch painted mostly in oils, acrylics, watercolors and pastels and her style was mostly impressionistic and abstract. The painting is signed to the lower left. The work is surrounded in a wooden frame without glass and picture wire is attached to the reverse for hanging.
