A Gay Badenoch (1920 – 2003) original acrylic painting on canvas titled Mountainside. The abstract style painting features short brush strokes in a colorful palette of yellow, green, brown, and blue. Badenoch was born in 1920 in Boston Massachusetts and also lived in New York, San Francisco, and Michigan. The highlight of her career was a three week painting trip to China in 1983, set up by renowned artist, Richard Yip. Badenoch painted mostly in oils, acrylics, watercolors, and pastels. Her style was mostly impressionistic and abstract. The painting is signed in graphite to the lower right and dated 75’. The work is surrounded in a wooden frame without glass. Picture wire is attached to the reverse for hanging.
