F. J. Girardin Original Oil on Canvas "Hills of Metamora Indiana"
Item Details
An original oil painting on canvas by well-listed American artist Frank Joseph Girardin (Indiana/California; 1856 – 1945), titled Hills of Metamora Indiana. The image depicts rolling hills and valleys of rural countryside, dotted with trees, veiled in a golden light. Artist signature is signed to the lower left. This work is mounted in a beveled wood frame with a gold leaf finish, equipped to hang. A label from the Cincinnati Art Club is attached to the verso. A Suder’s Art Store sticker is attached to the verso as well.
Girardin’s paintings are in included in the collections of the San Diego Art Museum and the Richmond Art Museum.
