A Gay Badenoch original mixed media painting. The painting features an abstract piece in hues of blue, red and gray using watercolor as well as black ink. Badenoch was born in 1920 in Boston Massachusetts and also lived in New York, San Francisco, and Michigan. The highlight of her career was a three week painting trip to China in 198,3 set up by renowned artist, Richard Yip. The artist painted mostly in oils, acrylics, watercolors, and pastels. Her style was mostly impressionistic and abstract. The painting is signed in graphite to the lower right and dated ’83. The work is matted in a blue pastel, is framed under glass, and is surrounded in a silver toned frame. Picture wire is attached to the reverse for hanging.
