Item Details
A group of vintage and antique sterling silver jewelry and accessories. Among these are two Art Nouveau pieces, a glove buttonhook in a twisted, sinuous form and a circular brooch with the likeness of a woman in profile, with a mysterious ‘?’ beside her. The latter bears a raised ‘Sterling’ mark to reverse, with an older style C-catch clasp, and the former is hallmarked ‘42’ with ‘W’ inside a circle and lion rampart pictograph, indicative of pre-1905 Whiting manufacture. Other items include an enameled sweater guard, a pair of cufflinks, a pair of small clips with Art Deco linear decoration, and a mother of pearl brooch with C-catch clasp. Completing this selection is a button front in the form of a rose, and a Siam-marked locket with Italian chain. Each piece is hallmarked as sterling silver, and the total weight, inclusive of all materials, is 1.350 ozt.
