A set of three lithographs on paper titled Action Between the U.S.S. Wasp and the H.M.S. Frolic after Worden Wood (1880-1943). The lot includes three prints with a central black and white image depicting a battle at sea in which one boat is crashing into the side of the other. The print is signed in plate to the lower left corner. These prints are organized as a plaque with the central image surrounded by multiple borders with a title label at the top dated ‘October 18th 1812’ and a bottom inscription reading ‘Presented to the U.S.S. Wasp V by Henry O. Havenmeyer November 20th 1943’. Two of the prints are in black ink on white paper, and one of the prints is in white ink on black paper.

Condition

- minor wear to edges and corners; upper right corner on one is heavily bent and wrinkled.
