Egyptian Style Gouache on Papyrus Paintings
Item Details
A pair of Ancient Egyptian style gouache paintings on papyrus. The first of these paintings depicts the Pharaoh Ramses riding into battle on his chariot accompanied by a cheetah and an archer. There is hieroglyphic writing to the left side and center of the page. The second piece depicts a group of Egyptians standing on rafts as they fish and harvest papyrus plants on the Nile. Both paintings are presented behind glass in gold tone frames that are wired for hanging.
Condition
- light edge wear to frames, wear to frame verso where backing has been re-taped.
