A vintage lithograph reproduction of a portion of an original 18th century wood engraving by very well-listed Dutch cartographer and publisher Pieter van der Aa (1659 – 1733), titled Dresden, Stadtansicht. The print depicts the bustling banks of the German city, where figures crowd along small rowboats and tall buildings line the distance. This reproduction is printed in gray ink on ivory paper, and the words ‘Alt. Dresden’ are printed to the upper right. The print is matted in pale burlap matting and is presented behind glass in a woodden frame with black finish and a hanging wire.

Condition

- print is slightly yellowed with age. Insect damage to upper edge of matting. Chipping and scratching across frame.
