Item Details

A mid-century home-made baseball scrapbook filled with newspaper clippings. Made by its original owner, this scrapbook contains numerous player photos and articles. Many of the newspaper clipping depict Cincinnati Reds players from the 1940s and 1950s. Some of the players include Johnny Vender Meer, Ewell Blackwell, Duke Snider, Gary Hatton, Joe DiMaggio, Robin Roberts, Connie Ryan, Frank Smith, and more. There is a 1950 Cincinnati Reds Ashland Gasoline black and white team picture glued down in this book. The clipping are glued down. There are blank pages with some of the pages detached from the string tie binding.

Condition

Good-Fair Condition. Edge and surface wear with some tears and creasing. Appropriate age wear exhibited. Discoloration with brittle pages.
