The work depicts a donkey and a dog contemplating a seated man that is adhering a horseshoe to a horse. The painting is signed ‘Ném’ to the lower right of the composition. A numeric inscription present to the verso. The work remains unframed.

- craquelure throughout the composition; minor loss paint along the edges of the canvas.
