Antique and Vintage Delft Tiles
Item Details
A collection of Delft tiles. These pieces were produced in Holland from the tin glazed earthenware body known as Delft. The majority of the collection is relatively modern tourists examples and reproductions of early eighteenth century pieces. In the collection are two antique tiles, one has a biblical theme tile and the other tile features a well. In addition to the antiques there are artisan tiles reproducing tiles based on unusual examples and typical scenes of daily life. There are printed and painted marks on the modern tiles.
