An original oil pastel landscape drawing on paper by well-listed painter and Rookwood Pottery artist, Edward Diers (Cincinnati; 1871 – 1947). The image depicts a peaceful landscape lined with trees, the sun illuminating an array of colors in the autumnal canopies. Artist signature is signed to the lower left. This piece is mounted under cream mat with hand-rendered French lines, under glass in a beveled wood frame with a gold-tone finish, equipped to hang. This piece retailed at Closson’s Gallery in Cincinnati, as indicated by the sticker to the verso.

- light discoloration to drawing and matting. Finish of frame is worn.
