A hand-knotted Indo-Keshan wool Area rug in Regency quality. It has a deep cobalt blue field populated with a delicate herati pattern of palmettes and splits leaves in a palette of carnelian red, cadet blue, pink, salmon, taupe and shades of green. It has floral and barber pole guard borders, flanking a white primary border in a larger herati pattern, having a deep garnet red field, with design elements in the field colors. It has overcast edges and a narrow kilim skirt at each end, with plaited cotton fringe. It is tagged to the underside.
