Pair of African Birthing Chairs
Item Details
A pair of African birthing chairs. This hand rendered pair has been constructed from solid mahogany, with carved designs of a crocodile on one, and a warrior mask on the other. Each chair consists of two pieces of wood that simply pull-apart for storing. The use of these chairs dates from antiquity and are still in use today.
Condition
- scratching and other wear present is both normal and consistent with age and prior use.
