An eclectic mix of decorative items includes signed watercolor. This group features a carved wood figurine of an abstracted figure of a woman with her face raised up and both hands to the front of the belly, set on a wood block plinth. Also featured is a watercolor of an old European wood door front set in an arched door frame signed by the artist ‘SOLB’ in the lower right corner. Watercolor is sandwiched in a glass front frameless pinch frame. Also included is a small wood box with lid that has a carved border accenting the illustrated panel which depicts the protective wall with door of an old city. Building roofs seen in the distance have Christian crosses to the tops of the towers and scene is tinted in colors of red, blue, and brown.
A small molded metal foundation makeup holder with a leaf motif to the center front completes the group.
Condition
- crack across figurine’s neck, cracks on lid of wooden memento box as well as light marking on picture on the top of the box, light tarnish and stain marks on foundation makeup case.
