An oil painting on canvas of a landscape. This Impressionist painting depicts a dirt crater tucked beneath a rolling hillscape featuring tall trees clustered to the middleground, with a canopy seen beneath a calm sky to the distance. To the lower right corner of the composition is an illegible artist signature and date, which reads ‘02’. The work, which appears to be on canvas wrapped over a wooden board, is presented in a stained wooden frame with a D-ring bracket to the verso for hanging.
