A mid-century oil painting on canvas by artist J.V. Cowin. The 1954 work depicts a forest landscape scene with a quaint red-roofed log cabin situated next to a clear rushing stream. The piece is signed and dated in light green paint to the lower left. It is presented without glass in a rustic wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
