A hand-knotted Persian-inspired wool area rug, likely made in India or China, in black, gold, rust and sage. It features central repeated medallion pattern in a palette of gold, rust and sage green against a field of black. The rug has a compound border with a repeated medallion design in the same palette as the center and is finished with natural warp to either end. The piece is unmarked.
