Colored Photogravure of Child's First Communion
Item Details
A colored photogravure picture of a child on her first communion. This oval portrait, lightly tinted with blue and yellow, shows the figure in a white gown with a ribbon in her hair. The piece is presented behind glass in a wood and gold tone frame with ornate detailing at the corners with a wire for hanging. There is a notation in ink to the verso identifying the sitter as being named ‘Lillian’ along with her age at the time this first communion portrait was taken.
Condition
- frame stained and chipped; several areas of decoration broken off; wear and staining to back; light fading to portrait; glass would merit from being cleaned.
